national symbol, the eagle, is depicted in bronze by Colorado sculptor
Sandy Scott at the entrance to the hospital. A collection of ethnic
art, which includes artifacts from around the world and early American
antiques, depicts the diverse heritage of the men and women who have
served in the country's armed services. In addition, fine art posters
are used as way-finding devices. Large photos of war memorials and
historic monuments add interest to the halls. |

Cafeteria
Inside,
hand-painted oilcloth works by Tracy Fitzgerald bring a cheerful
atmosphere to the cafeteria. They add bright colors when seen from
a distance, but have enough detail to engage a viewer enjoying a
meal beneath them.
