The use of ceramics as an integral part of the design and construction of this restaurant is meant to convey an image of Italian tiles and the Italians' love of the sea and seafood. We wanted to create something that was lively and related to the Mediterranean, but with an Old World feel. We continued the feeling of the ceramics on the hearth throughout the restaurant, with individual ceramic images and tile-sculpted ceramic walls with images of fish, the fruit of the sea. |
